Welcome to Hathaway Parent Teacher Association!
Hathaway Parent Teacher Association (HPTA) is a group of parents and teachers dedicated to enriching our children’s education and creating memories to last a lifetime. The HPTA raises funds and sponsors and coordinates activities that broaden the social and education experience of the children attending Howard W. Hathaway Elementary School.
We encourage and welcome everyone to attend our monthly meetings held the third Wednesday evening of each month. We communicate with our community utilizing our webpage, facebook, Email & paper notices.
Events and Volunteering
There are a wide variety of opportunities for you to become involved and help enrich our school. Check out the HPTA SPONSORED EVENTS AND VOLUNTEERING page to see a list of upcoming events and volunteer via sign up genius. You can also volunteer as a room parent or help out in the classroom for classroom based events and parties as long as your are VIS (Volunteers In School) approved. The students love knowing you are part of their school and it is a great way to meet other families.
The HPTA runs two big fundraisers a year: the fall Fun Walk and the Springabaloo. Go to the Fundraising menu to learn about these events and how you can help out. We also participate in Box Tops For Education, Clements’ Marketplace Friends Fund and Amazon Smile. These easy fundraisers bring in a lot of money each year, and they require minimal effort!
