Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into your school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open at the following times:

  • Saturday, Match 14th, 9am – 1pm
  • Tuesday, March 17th, 3:15pm – 6:30pm
  • Thursday, March 19th, 3:15pm – 6:30pm

Community Forum Meeting

Who: Hathaway Families, Faculty, and Staff

What: Community Forum Meeting

When: Wednesday, November 20th, 6:00 PM

Where: Hathaway Cafeteria

Why: As you are aware, our district has been soliciting input from parents, teachers, students, administrators and the community at large to develop an Educational Facilities Master Plan.

At this meeting you will learn about the preliminary results of the work to date and the proposed capital investment projects that will impact our district.

Join us to learn about the proposed improvements to our Hathaway School and provide feedback as we continue towards completion of this work.

We Did It! Our 1st Annual Hathaway Fun Walk.

Thank you all so much for your support of our 1st Annual Hathaway Fun Walk!  The support of the Hathaway community has been overwhelming and the kids had a great time in the process!  We are so proud and excited to announce that we raised $20,870!  And, yes, that means Miss Emily will get a pie in her face at the next Community Meeting (don’t worry, she’s a happy participant)!  And these funds will directly benefit all Hathaway students to go on field trips, contribute to the Hathaway Outdoor Learning Center, and many of the great programs at Hathaway School!

More details will come out soon to individual students receiving prizes, including information on the Crazy Hair/Hat Day passes for all fundraising students, so please stay tuned for dates and details on all prizes via backpack in the coming week.

1st Annual Hathaway Fun Walk!

Hello Hathaway Families!

We are very excited to introduce our 1st Annual Hathaway Fun Walk!  This will be our fall fundraiser this year and is replacing the cookie dough fundraiser we have done in past years.  The Fun Walk will promote healthy choices, encourage school spirit, and, of course, raise money for the school!

Ice Cream Social is Friday, September 13th!

The HPTA is getting ready for our first event of the season!

Join us on Friday, September 13th at the Hathaway playground. This is a great opportunity for your child to play with new friends in an informal setting, and also a great chance for parents to be introduced. Ice cream is provided by the HPTA!

In light of the recent cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), the Rhode Island Department of Health recommends that schools reschedule outdoor events ocuring at dusk to minimize the risk of mosquito bites.

Based on this recommendation, we have decided to adjust the hours of the ice cream social to 4:30- 6:30pm.
